Universal Studios Hollywood kicks off its Halloween Horror Nights with the 5th Annual “Eyegore” Awards “Scaremony” (you gotta love the puns and their quotation marks) on Friday, October 5th. The event will honor stars from the world of horror for imagining the unimaginable and for unleashing their creative sprits in the field of horror to bring our most indelible and terrifying moments to life.
Those receiving kudos this year include genre legend Roger Corman, Shawnee Smith (of the Saw films), Patricia Arquette (“Medium”), Don Mancini (creator of the Child’s Play series), Corey Feldman (The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe), Sherri Moon Zombie (Halloween) and Michael Berryman (the original The Hills Have Eyes) who will also serve as the night’s master of ceremonies. The kick-off is not available to the public, but the park’s Horror Nights will most certainly be!

It’s so cool to see her being honored, even if it is a fairly cheesy award. She hasn’t been recognized nearly enough in her career in my opinion. She deserves all the accolades she’s getting and twice that over, in my opinion.
On another note, Mima, I was looking at the affilliates that you have listed and wondered if you knew about Thomas Jane’s (Patricia’s husband) new site for his studio. It’s called RAWStudios.com and it is a really cool site with all kinds of info about all of their upcoming projects and even has a forum which Thomas and all of his partners visit and comment and chat with members from time to time. Thomas even has a special section of the forum that is his official forum for his fans. Just thought you might be interested. I don’t know if they link to other sites, but just thought you might like to know.
Oh no Dawn- not cheesy at all! Its an honor- Roger Corman is a master and all these films that are acknowledged are classics- way to go Patricia!
p.s. I still hate her.

Okay, if you say so, cexcean. I’m not sure who that is, but if you say he’s a master, I’ll take your word for it.
But I wouldn’t call “The Lost Boys 2″ a classic. Some of the others maybe, but not that one.
Still, it’s good to see her getting recognized for all her hard work. I wonder if she’ll be at the “scar-e-mony”, lol.
I second that. Way to go, Patricia!! Good work! Keep it up!
Oh, well. I was hoping we’d get to see Patricia out and about again at this event, but unfortunately not. She missed the event, but her brother David was there promoting his film, The Tripper, which drops on dvd on Oct. 23. He also accepted Patricia’s award on her behalf.
Too bad she wasn’t there, but still great that she’s being recognized.
